MY REVIEW

My daughter has a twin mattress that I bought a little over 2 years ago. She has slept on it a total of maybe 5 times. She hates the mattress because she states that it is uncomfortable and hard.  She loves my memory foam mattress and really wants one for her room. I personally can't afford another mattress right now. So I compromised with her and decided to try out a mattress topper first to see if that helps. 

I received this Twin Size Mattress Topper from Amazon Vine. On the description it states it being plush and shows a photo of it being 2 inches thick! 

I will tell you right now that it is way less than two inches thick. It is barely an inch thick. Once you put it on the mattress -- which was hilarious because it did not fit properly -- and you lay down on it, it suddenly becomes about the same thickness as a piece of cardboard. Not only was it NOT plush and heavenly bliss, but it also had lumps in it that made it even less comfortable. 

After the fiasco of putting it on and trying it out, I feel my resolve weakening for my daughters request to buy her a new memory foam mattress. I slept on hers with the topper on it, and I now see what she means about it. Bypass this mattress topper if you are looking for one. Spend a bit more money, do your research, and find one that truly is Heavenly Bliss!

MY REVIEW

Wow! An actual treat for your dog that smells like its ingredients.  They actually smelled like chicken and brown sugar when I opened them up to give my dog a treat.  I know my dog could smell it as well because she got very excited for her treat!

I am also glad that this product is backed by Purina.  It is a company I trust to take care of my dog when it comes to the diet and treat department.  They do come in larger pieces than other treats, but normal in size for jerky treats in my opinion.  If you have smaller dogs, the treats do break up for smaller mouths.

 I think the only main problem I had with this product is the price that some retailers are charging for it. Yes, it does have quite a bit and is a fairly large bag, but the price was a little steep at $11.99 just for treats.

MY REVIEW

My daughter begged for this Barbie. I was worried it was going to be another poorly executed idea into a doll slapped with the Barbie label.  Well, while she ended up throwing it into her Barbie bin to play with her dollhouse, we both were frustrated with the tattoos that were suppose to be fun to play with.

Do not think that it looks easy to put those tattoos in Barbie's hair.  They come out messy and look nothing like the photos from the box. Instead, look forward to many tears of frustration from yourself and child(ren) along with a headache.

I recommend hiding the tattoos and just giving your Barbie lover just the doll.

MY REVIEW

My older daughter has allergies that can make her miserable.  The congestion, headaches, and watery eyes are a constant battle and it gets worse when Spring approaches.  Where we live, air quality is bad most days of the year, so a little extra help from Electrolux was definitely needed.

When the huge box arrived, I quickly unpacked it and set it up.  There is minimal assembly required -- mainly just inserting the filter and putting batteries in the remote which are included.

There are three speeds for the fan -- low, high and turbo.
There are five levels of air quality that are indicated with lights on the unit -- listed from poor to good.

The unit itself is quite large, so smaller spaces will be cramped even more.  I do love the sleek black color though and the remote comes with a holder that attaches to the unit.  My daughter did notice the cleaner smelling air and has had less allergy attacks in the time frame of almost one month.  The only problem I have is finding replacement filters in my area for the unit. Buying online will be required for some people who have the same problem.

MY REVIEW

I am not a huge fan of bar soap.  It leaves my dry skin itch and usually leaves a film on your skin after rinsing it off.  If I had my choice, I would always have liquid soap in my shower.  There are times though that bar soap is cheaper and easier to travel with on vacations.

This soap has a light fragrance to it that isn't overwhelming and could actually use a boost in fragrance.  It lathers up fairly well, but again, it leaves a film that I can feel on my skin after drying off.  It didn't dry my skin out as bad as other bar soaps, but it didn't leave it soft and smooth either.

For this particular soap brand, I would say that it is in the fair range.  It gets the job done, but not something I would use on a regular basis.

MY REVIEW

When you first pop the cap open on this new body wash from Caress, you can instantly be rewarded with the "juicy" fragrance of pink grapefruit.  I am sure the Sun-Kissed Lily fragrance is in there somewhere, but my nose zeroed in on the grapefruit.  It smelled amazing!  So for the smell side of the product I give it an A! 

As for lathering - or suds - I give it a B.  It did lather up, but not quite as much as I would have liked.  I tried it in cold and hot water to see if the temperature would make much of a difference in soap suds and the result was it didn't make much of a difference. 

For cleaning and getting the grime off your skin, I would give it a C.  Yes it gave my skin a clean feel to it when I used it.  After drying off and waiting for about an hour, my skin did start to get that dry feeling.  It wasn't too bad since I normally have dry skin anyway, but I would recommend a lotion being applied to your skin after the shower.

Overall, I would say the best feature about Caress Juicy Escape is the smell.

MY REVIEW

My daughter loves to make crafts, but she is always complaining about heavy regular scissors are for her age. She is 9 and can handle them better than when she was a little younger, but she still has some problems with the weight of adult scissors and the length of the blades.  With these scissors, she had an easier time cutting out things for craft projects. Cutting circles was easier with the 5 inch blades and this helped her cut on the lines easier as well.

The only thing that we didn't like was that they tended to stick occasionally. Sometimes they were a little harder to open up and even doing this mid cutting at times.  It could be a defect in this pair of scissors, or it could be something in all of them. That would be a chance you would have to take.

I am a list maker.
There. I admit it.  I have paper all over my house with lists for anything and everything written on them.  I even use the back of receipts.  I was tired of losing my lists when they would get misplaced or set aside. The family was always reminding me we were out of something and needed to add it to my "Buy List" but then it would get buried under other things.  So when this came in the mail, I was excited to stick it on the fridge door and have one main place for my lists.

This features a TO DO section, a TO REMEMBER section, and a TO BUY section. Whenever there is a school function or appointment that needs to be remembered, we put it on the list.  Now the kids seem to put it on the To Remember section when they want me to take them somewhere fun, but I use that section as a little message center for the day and usually include an "I Love You" on there.  In the To Buy section is where we write what we are out of or close to running out of for the biweekly trips to replenish items.

The magnetic strip that holds it to the fridge was pretty strong and I never had a problem with it falling off when the doors were opened or shut.

Overall, this is a great item to add to your command center at home, or even for a locker at school for kids to just write random reminders on for homework.

Let's start with the basics.
Scent -- Nice smell and not overwhelming to the senses.
Texture -- Glided on smoothly with minimal flaking
Sweat Protection -- Much better than expected.  I wasn't convinced at first that it could do any better than some other brand, but it did do much better than the brand I was using previously.
Odor Protection -- Yes! This does help in preventing body odor from sweating.  Much better than my previous brand.
Stain Protection -- Did not leave a single stain in my shirts.  Not only did it prevent sweat stains in my shirt, but no deodorant marks left either.

Overall, a better choice than my previous brand. I would recommend this one!

MY REVIEW
When I saw this necklace, I knew I wanted it for my daughter.  Not only is it the color of her birthstone, but it looked beautiful with the design.  The item arrived in a sturdy jewelry box which was a plus!  Usually when you purchase jewelry online from Amazon, it comes in a plastic bag of some sort. The box it comes in also has a heart pad inside to protect it and make it stunning in display for perfect gift giving.

The chain is the perfect length and the overall sparkle and design is gorgeous.  While the color of the blue stone is not as vibrant as the one in the photo, it still has the shine and detail.  The chain is a little weak in my opinion and will probably end up breaking fairly easy.  I would suggest having a backup chain just in case.

This would be perfect for a teen birthday, a small token gift for the teacher at holidays, or just as a special piece for Sunday dinners.  Overall, a great piece that isn't too flashy or expensive.

MY REVIEW
First of all, Cover Girl is my usual go-to brand of make-up.  It is affordable, reliable, and usually has great variety.  When this new eyeliner became available, I was so excited. I am a huge fan of eyeliner.  They can be used in so many ways to create such drama and spark to your eyes.  Even if I don't want to pull out all the make-up, I at least wear eyeliner and/or mascara.

I loved how the eyeliner glided on so easy.  I have seen others comment on this product stating that it skipped or dragged, but I never had this problem.  What I did find out was that it smeared very easily. If you barely touched it or shed one small tear, this stuff was smearing all over the place.  It wasn't long before this eyeliner gave the raccoon eyes that you usually get with mascara.  Even though it smeared easy, it was hard to get off with makeup remover!  Instead of being easy to just wash or wipe off, it just continued to smear everywhere. It was a mess and time consuming!

While I am still a huge fan of Cover Girl cosmetics, I wasn't a fan of this product.  Give it a pass and find a different eyeliner to use.

When it comes to cameras, I want something easy to use but gives me a clear photo.  I don't want to mess with the fancy settings or have to take a photography class just to be able to capture clear and great photos of my family.  I had heard wonderful things about the Sony Cyber-Shot. After using the Cyber-Shot I can honestly say that I am in love with this camera.

The camera comes in silver, black, pink or light blue.  Of course I chose the pink but only because purple was not an option.   The camera is easy to use and can switch settings with the turn of dial. It features movie setting, automatic setting, twilight setting, landscape setting and many more. It also features the view finder or a digital screen for viewing.  It is powered with a rechargeable battery with loading dock for it to recharge and connection cables for easy downloading of photos to your computer.

If you are looking for a new camera that is easy to use but gives you bang for your buck, then Sony Cyber-Shot is worth looking into and adding to your list!

MY REVIEW
I have been wanting a cork holder for quite a while now.  I save the corks from my wine bottles to make crafts with and they were sitting around in a plastic bag on my counter. Not very stylish, but it did keep them out of the way with easy access when the wine bottle got to the last drop.  I also have been wanting to change up the decor in my kitchen and start with something new.  This cork holder gave me the inspiration for the new theme while giving a stylish and appropriate home for those corks.

The cork holder itself is made quite sturdy.  It is lightweight but strong enough in the wire framework to prevent warping and bends.  I also like how the bottom of the cup part has the perfect wire spaces to keep the cork from falling through.

The only drawback I had with it was the size.  It isn't as big as I thought it would be and it doesn't hold as many corks as others do. While the price is in the relatively fair zone, it should still be a little bigger. I would recommend it for the casual wine enthusiast or for smaller scaled kitchen decor.

Recently, I have been looking after a friends toddler quite a bit. He comes for overnight stays when my friend is traveling out of town or when they just decide to crash here for the night.  Since this was almost a weekly thing, I decided I needed to stock up on some items so they didn't have to keep lugging so much around each time.  I also didn't want to trust some no name brand when it came to keeping my guest bed mattress clean from leaky diapers during the night.  With my own children, I used Pampers all the time. They were great at stopping leaks and protecting baby bottoms from irritation.  So when stocking up, I chose the Pampers Extra Protection Diapers.

These diapers not only helped with keeping my mattress dry, but they helped in the child getting a longer stretch of sleep with the absorbent material.  The stretchy sides helped with movement and giving the diaper a snug fit as well.  I am glad we stocked up on a brand that I trusted in the past.

What can we say about the new Just Dance 2014? Yes it has new songs to dance to and the graphics are slightly better than previous versions.  Even with the new songs though, don't get too excited.  Personally, if you are going to make a dancing game, you would think they would pick better songs.  I am getting tired of the old songs and songs you have barely heard of making the track list when there could be such better ones included.  Are there better ones? Yes if you want to pay for them. I think spending the amount on the game should be enough to include those better songs in the first place.

What do we think of the new interactive features this time? I could care less actually.  I don't dance to this game with anyone besides my family, so I have no intention of connecting with people all over the world to see me dance. Again, this is personal and others might enjoy this part of the feature.

While as a family we enjoyed the game and have spent many hours playing it, I find it lacking in the above things mentioned.  Hopefully they will change this like they did with numbering it by years instead of release number.

MY REVIEW
Let me start by saying that ironing in my household is a rare thing.  I hate to do it and I hate to even think about it.  If it weren't for work clothes that need it, I would probably not even own an iron.  Since my work clothes do need to look presentable though, I decided to give this product a try.

Who thought it would be an amazing idea to make the water reservoir hard to see through? Did they think it would be a cool joke to make it hard to see how much space you have left to add the water? That was a major fail in the design department.  They might want to rethink that design flaw and fix it for the next models that come out. Plus once you do get the water level at the right spot, it leaks whenever you use it. The steam setting was horrible. After the third use, it quit steaming and even heating properly.

Overall this product just reaffirms my stance on hating to iron.  It made a chore turn into a nightmare.

MY REVIEW
Can I just say that I love any type of toy that will let me enjoy the fun with the kids! We have purchased quite a few of assorted toys like this one and we enjoy having a battle of the spy game here and there.  You never know when one of us will attack.  With the Xploderz X3, we were able to have even more of a great time and enjoy new features that our other ones don't have.

For one thing, you can shoot from around the corner! Yeah! Look out because corners where you would normally have to look around quickly will now be danger zones! It also features easy auto load and fire to make your attack even quicker!

The only draw back to this toy is the difficult firing trigger.  I would say that this is better intended for the older children and not the younger ones. Adults who like to play like children will also find the fun in it!

MY REVIEW
I don't usually need fancy gadgets and containers in my kitchen.  I usually store my sugar, flour and any other loose item for baking in either plastic bags or the containers in comes in.  Lately though, company has been arriving to my house and they are always asking for my sugar for their coffee or tea.  I usually whip out a bag of sugar and plop it down with a spoon.  After doing this several times, I knew something else would have to be bought because it was getting tiresome.

I still did not want to get a sugar "bowl" though because it would just sit there and get knocked over or broke.  So I decided on a sugar dispenser.  Yes, it can still get broke, but not as easily as a bowl.  It also has a great feature on it that keeps it closed in case you accidentally knock it over. Unfortunately this item is hand wash only and not safe for the dishwasher. This was the only negative I really had about this product.

While I am still not a huge fan of kitchen gadgets that just take up space, I do find this sugar dispenser to be much better than I expected.

-Perfect for keeping sugar close at hand for coffee, cereal, fruit and more

MY REVIEW:

To say I was a little curious about this product is an understatement.  I was having a hard time accepting the fact that it could be used for so many of the different things they were claiming. Something I could use for my hair and skin care could also use for baking and cooking? Really? Okay, I ended up caving because I just had to know if it would be worth it and actually could be used for it all.

SKIN CARE: I have serious dry skin. So serious that it looks like I have cold chills all the time. My skin is rough, dry and red especially on my arms and legs.  I have tried so many products for my dry skin only to be disappointed by the bottom of the bottle or jar.  I gave this product two weeks and my skin does feel softer. The redness has diminished a little bit, but not altogether.  It was a little greasy at first, but it wasn't so bad with the less you use. Less is more when it comes to the skin care with this product. I would give it a B for skin care.

HAIR CARE: I used this once for my hair. I followed the directions but found I was not satisfied with it as a hair care product.  I am really particular about what I use on my hair. While it wasn't horrible for my hair, I won't use it again for that use just because of how picky I am. I would give it a C for hair care.(for personal preference)

COOKING and BAKING: I tried using this for cooking and found it to be almost as good as using margarine or butter.  There was a slight difference in taste and use, but again it is all about personal preference. Everyone tastes things differently.  Easy to use as well. I gave it a B for cooking and baking.

SUPPLEMENT: No rating as I did not use it as this.

I was pleasantly surprised by this product.  While some uses were better than others, I think it boils down to personal preference in some areas and other areas it worked wonderfully.  The price is great considering you get a full jar of 15 fl. oz. to use.  It does go a long way so you get quite a bit of product for a long run trial.

MY REVIEW
Let's face it. As women we can't avoid this type of product. Feminine products are something all women have to deal with once a month.  As much as we loathe having to deal with it, we hate discussing it just as much.  What we do rely on is a product that will work and give us one less thing to have to worry about during this time.

I have to admit, I was not impressed with this product.  Even though it is marketed as "Super", I found that it was more like a "Regular".  I had to change it more often than what I do with my usual brand. The string was also a problem with this product.  The string was much shorter than other brands and even came off with the "test tug" you are suppose to do before using a tampon.

Overall, I will stick with my normal brand and pass on the Playtex.
